Blogger Eric Goudie, a sales lead generation expert, believes that if you keep your eyes open, you can find sales leads just about everywhere. Here are some tactics he recommended in a recent post:
In a down economy, generating sales leads is the key to survival. Discover how to turn prospects into customers and drive business growth. Download your free copy of Effective Sales Techniques: How to Sell in Boom Times or a Recession without cost or obligation.

For B2B leads, look in the yellow pages. You’ll find well-organized lists of local businesses you can sell to. And scan the white pages too because more companies can be found there as well.
-
Drive around in your car. Write down the names of businesses that could be clients and look up their information when you get back to your office. If you’re not sure what industry a particular company is in, conduct a little research at a later time. It could be a sales prospect.
-
Network at social events. Goudie says that weddings, and even funerals, are good places to chat with lots of people to find possible customers.

Find customers at children’s activities. Whether you’re building a campfire with another parent or sitting on the sidelines at a soccer game, you’ve been given a good chance to establish rapport, deliver your elevator speech, and find new sales leads.
